Excited About Life at 133

Many wonderful people have given their time and service to Christ through the ministry of Liberty Baptist Church. Unfortunately, many of these servants are not mentioned by name. Again it would be difficult to even give adequate credit as so many things have been accomplished, yet so little has been recorded. The Lord is well-aware of the faithful servants, and it is He, not this brief history, that will give just reward.

In years to come, perhaps someone will take this brief history and develop a more comprehensive study of the life of Liberty Baptist Church.

As we conclude this summary of a century and thirty-three years, we are encouraged of many things concerning our church. We can stand assured the people have kept their vision alive, for the scripture says without a vision, the people will perish. We stand assured that Liberty has kept her love alive, for the scripture says love never faileth. We stand assured that Liberty has retained her unity, as the scripture says the church must come together in one accord in order to fulfill God’s mission. But all of this is only through Christ who lives in her people.

Perhaps the Lord will delay His coming for another century, perhaps not. Regardless of His timing, we owe our love, our service, and our time to this local body of Christ. It is here through the Church, that his redemptive plan will be carried out into the world.

What a great missions lie ahead we do not know. But we do know that it is the prevailing Grace of God that has sustained our life for over a century, and it is Grace that will lead us home.
