REMAINING YEARS OF THE NINETIES

The years from 1993 – 1998 found the Liberty congregation actively carrying out the Lord’s work by:
Mr. Elmer Hendrix gave a special gift in June, 1995 which made it possible to add a second bathroom/utility room and a new porch to the Pastorium.
The Church purchased its first Computer in October, 1995, preparing for the 21st Century.
Pastor Barrett Long in May, 1997, participated in a Mission trip to Romania. The Church shared in his expense with a gift of $2,000.
June of 1998 saw the Davidson Building and Storage house receive a new brick veneer exterior.
A Cornerstone was added to the Davidson Building in August 1998, honoring the memory of Clyde Simmons and Marsha Davidson.
The Church now completes the last year of the 20th Century, and enters a new millennium, as the year 2000 dawns. All accomplishments have made possible better facilities, for Worship, Bible Study, Youth Activities and Ministries. All have been for the Salvation of the lost, for the growth of Christians and for the Glory of God. The words of Jesus in Matthew 9:368 still calls us to “labor in His Harvest.”
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore to send out workers into His Harvest field.”
